La disputa entre puristas y renovadores es frecuente en todas las disciplinas científicas o artísticas, pero en pocas ocasiones alcanza tanta intensidad como en el mundo del flamenco. José Luis Ortiz Nuevo, con un título que no deja lugar a dudas sobre su posición, explora la naturaleza mestiza de un género que está vivo precisamente por resistirse a vestir la camisa de fuerza que imponen los puristas.
